About Tom Klein, Your Trusted Expert Carpenter in Nelson
Tom began his carpentry career in Whistler, BC, where he completed his apprenticeship under a seasoned local builder. Together, they crafted custom homes. With 20 years of experience and a Red Seal Journeyman certification, Tom moved to Nelson in 2010 and built his own timber frame home. Over the years, he’s expanded his expertise working with local builders and now runs Sasquatch Carpentry. Tom takes pride in delivering quality service and building lasting client relationships.
Living in Nelson with his wife and two sons, Tom enjoys the active outdoor lifestyle the Kootenays offer. When not working, he likes to kiteboard, ski with his family, and live a healthy lifestyle. Finding the balance between work, family, and recreation helps him focus on his projects.
Tom has been enthusiastic about carpentry ever since he started building at the age of 23. He has had the opportunity to work in commercial and residential carpentry, building custom homes and renovations. In the last few years, he has been aspiring to obtain his residential builder’s licence and is close to completing this. In the coming years, he hopes to build quality new homes and realize people’s visions.
