Meet Tom Klein: The Builder Behind Sasquatch Carpentry
The foundation of Sasquatch Carpentry is Tom Klein. Tom began his career in Whistler, BC, apprenticing under seasoned local builders crafting high-end custom homes. Now a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter & Licensed General Contractor with more than two decades of experience, Tom brought his expertise to Nelson in 2010, where he built his own timber-frame home.
His journey from apprentice at 23 years old to licensed general contractor today reflects a lifelong commitment to the trade. Tom doesn’t just manage projects; he’s on-site, doing the layout, checking the work, and answering your questions directly. When he’s not on a job site, he’s spending precious time with his wife and two sons and living the Kootenay lifestyle he builds for.
