The foundation of Sasquatch Carpentry is Tom Klein. Tom began his career in Whistler, BC, apprenticing under seasoned local builders to craft high-end custom homes. Now a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter with over two decades of experience, Tom brought his expertise to Nelson in 2010.

After years of working on intricate timber frames and commercial structures, Tom evolved his passion into Sasquatch Carpentry. His journey from an apprentice at age 23 to a Licensed Builder today reflects a lifelong commitment to the trade. Tom doesn’t just manage projects; he builds them with the same care he used when constructing his own timber frame home right here in Nelson.
